Power User Profiles

Who Trepo's most engaged 220 households actually are, what they do every week, and which product they think they bought. 28 Jul 2026 - 21 Sep 2026 — 8 complete weeks.

The finding

Only 23.2% of Trepo's most engaged households actually use the kitchen-inventory loop the product is built around.

The other 76.8% — 169 of 220 power households — use Trepo as a recipe app or a shopping-list app. These are not casual users. They are the top 2.4% by activity, and they still are not capturing, tracking or cooking from inventory.

3distinct archetypes in the cohort

Engagement is extremely top-heavy

Active days per eligible user across the 8-week window. More than half of eligible users did not open Trepo at all; the power cohort sits in the top two bands.

Power cohort = at least 16 active days and activity in at least 6 of the 8 weeks. That is 220 households, 2.4% of eligible users, driving 40.4% of every event in the window.

The three archetypes

Households were clustered on the shape of their behaviour — what proportion of their actions falls into each feature family — not on raw volume. Index compares an archetype's share of a feature against the whole power cohort; 1.00x means they use it exactly as much as the average power household.

The Recipe Box

88households · 40.0% of the cohort

Browses recipes and saves them. Roughly four out of every five things this household does in Trepo is looking at a recipe or saving one. The shopping list is a rounding error and the kitchen is barely touched.

What they actually do — share of this archetype's intent actions, index vs. the whole power cohort, and how many of them touch the feature at all.

The List

Lives in the shopping list. The highest-volume archetype by a wide margin - they generate more actions per week than anyone - but almost all of that volume is list building, checking and pruning.

Kitchen Operators

51households · 23.2% of the cohort

The only archetype running the full loop: capture what came home, keep the pantry current, watch shelf life, search what they already own, ask the assistant. Every kitchen-side family over-indexes 2.4x or more against the rest of the power cohort.

What they actually do — share of this archetype's intent actions, index vs. the whole power cohort, and how many of them touch the feature at all.
